Job summary

Virtelle Hospitality, LLC is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead Artful Way, a 27-room boutique hotel in Asheville's River Arts District, delivering exceptional guest experiences while collaborating with a management company and on-site stakeholders.

You will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, mentor a high-performing team, drive revenue and manage budgets, and ensure compliance with brand standards, safety rules, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel leadership experience (GM or ASGM preferred).
• Proven success leading, developing, and motivating hospitality teams.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and KPIs.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with hotel PMS and Microsoft Excel.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest experiences.

We're seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands‑on General Manager to lead our 27-room boutique hotel and deliver an exceptional guest experience while partnering with the management company and on‑site stakeholders to ensure the property operates seamlessly.

What You'll Do

• Monitor guest feedback and online reputation, creating memorable experiences that build loyalty.
• Build relationships within the Asheville community to strengthen the hotel's presence and create unique guest experiences.
• Maintain a well‑operated, welcoming property that guests and employees are proud to be part of.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of hotel leadership experience (General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience preferred).
• Proven success leading, developing, and motivating hospitality teams.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
• Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and operational KPIs.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency preferred).
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for guests and team members alike.
