Job summary

The Moran Hotel in Houston is seeking a General Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, support daily accounting activities, and assist with month-end closings in a hospitality setting.

You will work with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and audit support while coordinating with Front Office and other departments. A Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, hospitality preferred.
• Experience with hotel accounting systems (Opera, SunSystems, Sage, Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and accounting software skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable management and reconciliations.
• Accounts Payable processing and vendor payments.
• Month-end close, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Support audits and compliance with policies.
• Coordinate with hotel operations and other departments.
• Maintain documentation and filing systems.
