Job summary

Grand Casino Hinckley is seeking a Hotel Night Auditor to greet Guests, assist with reservations, process payments, and safeguard guest information while delivering outstanding service.

You will balance reports from the prior day, prepare management reports for Hotel Administration and Finance, verify registrations, room charges, and support the team overnight.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience in accounting or audit preferred for hotel operations.
• Front Desk or Rooms controller experience is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain Gaming Regulatory Authority license.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests in a courteous, professional manner and assist with reservations.
• Process payments and safeguard guest information.
• Balance reports from previous shifts and prepare management reports for Hotel Administration and Finance.
• Audit guest records for accuracy and completeness; verify registrations and room charges.
• Pursue collection of incomplete payment forms and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform other front desk duties as assigned to ensure smooth nightly operations.

The Opportunity

As the Hotel Night Auditor for Grand Casinos, you will engage in greeting Guests in a courteous and professional manner, helping with reservations, processing payment and safeguarding Guest information. Other duties include providing accurate information to Guests about services/amenities, greeting Guests at the bell station, safely and courteously, checking their luggage, ensuring optimum Guest service with each interaction. Additionally, you will be responsible for reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring optimum Guest service.

• Maintain a working knowledge of Grand Casino's property and nearby special events to inform Guests as needed.
• Perform duties of the Front Desk Agent, with the additional duties of balancing reports from the previous day's shifts.
• Respond courteously and promptly to Guest requests or inquiries.
• Prepare and distribute management reports to the Hotel Administration and the Finance Department.
• Audit all Guest records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Pursue the collection of incomplete forms of payment.
• Verify Guest registration forms against the hotel computer system for accuracy.
• Verify room and tax charges on Guest accounts.
• Perform other departmental duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the team.

What Qualifies You

• High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent experience.
• Six (6) months accounting or audit experience required.
• Three (3) months Front Desk or Rooms controller experience preferred.
• Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
• Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Physical Needs

• Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
• See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
• Stand, walk, run, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
• Be able to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) lbs.
