Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in the United States is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to lead financial operations across a decentralized environment. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and safeguarding assets while driving profitability and strategic decision-making.

You will supervise the accounting team, ensure GAAP/USALI compliance, implement SOX controls, and collaborate with operations to optimize labor and revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting in a hotel environment.
• Demonstrated progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and local SOPs.
• Assist in timely annual budget and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements with supporting schedules per GAAP/USALI.
• Develop and monitor local accounting controls and Sox 404 key controls.
