Job summary

The SpringHill Suites Las Vegas, part of Highgate Hotels, is seeking an Engineer Level 1 to maintain the property's systems and facilities with minimal disruption to guests. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment, and ensure safety and code compliance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of hotel maintenance experience preferred, and the ability to read blueprints and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field required.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or college coursework in related field helpful.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Repair hotel air conditioning systems: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, etc.
• Take required readings on equipment and test cooling towers.
• Replace and program televisions, light switches, and fixtures as needed.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams; repair pumps, plumbing, and equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records; ensure code compliance.
• Test and repair swimming pools and spas; repair hotel electronic locks.
