Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Las Vegas, NV seeks an Engineer, Level 1 to maintain the property in excellent condition with minimal guest disruption. You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing repairs, read blueprints, and keep maintenance records to ensure safety and comfort for guests and staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least one year in a hotel or related field, and flexibility to work long hours. Experience with mechanical systems and teamwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or College coursework in related field helpful.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, electrical, and other equipment.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Test and repair pools and spas.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and Federal codes.
