Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton in New York area is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems. You will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other trades to keep the property in optimal condition.

The role requires troubleshooting skills, safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. You will also assist with snow removal, pool upkeep, and fitness equipment maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience across HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, roofing and landscaping.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical/electrical malfunctions.
• Must recognize safety hazards and act accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of hotel mechanical/electrical systems and facilities.
• Respond promptly to guest, employee and management service requests for repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of interior and exterior areas, including grounds and parking.
• Assist with snow removal and salting as needed, including before guest checkout.
• Ensure indoor pool and fitness equipment are functional and clean.
