Job summary

The Pfister Hotel, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, seeks an Engineer to maintain and improve HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to requests to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Candidates should have EPA 608 certification, 3+ years in a similar role, and strong-read of blueprints. The role requires flexibility for a 24/7 operation in a historic, AAA Four Diamond hotel.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 (CFC) Certification required for refrigerant handling.
• 3+ years in engineering or facilities maintenance, hotel or similar.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and maintenance manuals.
• Excellent communication and guest-facing service.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize hotel building systems for safety and efficiency.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair facility issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on systems and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests with strong customer service.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance, including OSHA and Lockout/Tagout.
