Job summary

Hyatt Place Pasadena is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician to maintain guest rooms, public spaces and equipment across the property. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler and related systems, respond to work orders, and support safety and guest service standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in hotel maintenance, strong reading and following of manuals, and the ability to work independently while communicating clearly with guests and

• Must read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
• Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Should have good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers.
• Must have a desire for learning and personal growth.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with primary room preventive maintenance projects as needed.
• PM Service of mechanical and HVAC units.
• Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on hotel equipment including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms.
• Assist with major projects as assigned.
• Respond to work orders and communicate with team on follow up/complete.
• Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times.
• Report unsafe conditions to leadership.
• Projects assigned as needed by supervisor.
