Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality's Doubletree Los Angeles Norwalk property in Norwalk, CA, is hiring an Engineer Supervisor to lead maintenance operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure guest comfort and safety.

You will mentor and schedule the engineering team, implement the Preventative Maintenance program, monitor energy usage and costs, handle guest requests urgently, and serve as the on-site emergency contact for a greener, safer property.

Qualifications

• Guest and employee interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance and professional appearance.
• May be required to work weekends, holidays, and be available for emergencies.
• Comply with certification requirements (Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, First Aid).
• Experience in training, supervising, and motivating staff.
• Ability to evaluate and spot check work of staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Operations oversight of property systems, maintenance, repairs, and guest satisfaction while controlling costs.
• Lead engineering team: training, scheduling, safety inspections, drills, and trainings.
• Manage Preventative Maintenance program to keep rooms and public spaces up to standards.
• Manage energy usage and budgets, promote conservation, and make smart purchasing choices.
• Respond to guestroom requests quickly and act as emergency contact for on-site incidents.
