Aimbridge Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer for the Doubletree Los Angeles Norwalk location to oversee hotel maintenance, lead the engineering team, and ensure safety compliance. The role focuses on keeping all systems running smoothly, controlling costs, and delivering guest satisfaction with reliable operations across rooms and public spaces.

The ideal candidate has extensive hotel maintenance experience, supervisory skills, and relevant HVAC/boiler certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year or 4-year related degree with relevant hotel/maintenance experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current HVAC, pool, electrical certifications as applicable.
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver's license and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Marvel: Keep every room and public space in top condition and compliant with standards.
• Team Captain: Lead, train, and schedule the engineering team to high performance.
• Safety Superhero: Conduct fire safety inspections and drills for guest and staff safety.
• Guest Service Star: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and boost guest satisfaction.
• Property Guardian: Patrol grounds, manage debris, Lost and Found, and keep facilities clean.
• Trusted Ambassador: Access sensitive areas responsibly and represent the brand with integrity.

Education & Experience

• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
