Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as a Chief Engineer. The Chief Engineer supervises the operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel, manages the Maintenance Staff, and coordinates renovations and new construction as needed to ensure a safe, efficient guest experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of building management.
• Experience with electrical switches, boilers, and appliance repairs.
• Complete understanding of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety systems.
• Stay current on technology advances to improve hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and guest experience.
• Monitor compliance with building codes, OSHA, and Fire Dept. standards.
• Recruit, interview, and supervise maintenance staff including Engineers, Laborers, Painters, Carpenters.
• Oversee maintenance of equipment, EMS system, life/safety devices.
• Manage budgets and labor costs; schedule preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate remodeling, renovations, and new construction projects.
