Job summary

Stonebridge Companies in Greenwood Village, Colorado is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee hotel maintenance operations, ensuring refrigeration, heating, plumbing and energy control systems run efficiently while supervising staff and contractors.

You will manage budgets, purchasing, and project planning, coordinate with Housekeeping and Security, and uphold safety standards to support guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations. Evening/weekend on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management.
• Strong knowledge of systems including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, and energy controls.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance staff and contractors, including hiring, training, and evaluation.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing for maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times.
• Supervise maintenance operations, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, A/C units, lighting, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor and manage energy consumption for efficiency.
• Oversee contracted services to meet hotel standards and guest expectations.
• Supervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, evaluations, and scheduling.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all maintenance projects according to specifications.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Security on operations, key control, and safety procedures.
• Assist with project planning and work closely with architects and contractors on bids and blueprints.
• Manage maintenance agreements and contracts, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Develop and maintain maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel equipment.
• Perform inventory management, purchasing duties, and budget development for the department.
