Job summary

The Alida Hotel in Savannah, GA seeks an Engineering Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team and oversee the ongoing care of the hotel’s property, equipment, and grounds. The role focuses on safe, efficient repairs and proactive planning to protect guest experiences and asset value.

You will direct internal staff and outside vendors, balance budgets for projects, and ensure compliance with safety standards while maintaining the property’s standards of Southern hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience required in hotel maintenance or facilities supervision.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently lead a team.
• Thorough knowledge of hotel property and systems.
• Schedule flexibility to cover maintenance needs and emergencies.
• Experience working with outside vendors on projects.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect quality of work and direct team members and outside contractors in tasks.
• Assign, supervise and verify completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure of the hotel.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate interim repairs.
• Supervise remodeling projects or capital expenditure needs, including budgets and cost tracking.
• Plan and monitor special projects; manage timelines and resources.
