Job summary

The Stoneleigh, part of HEI Hotels & Resorts, seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to maintain building systems and ensure guest safety in a landmark Dallas hotel. You will oversee electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety and IT, while upholding brand standards and energy efficiency.

Lead, train and supervise the engineering team, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety codes. This role requires strong leadership and a hands-on approach in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience at a comparable location (hotel preferred).
• Knowledge of building systems, safety programs and budget forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Assume control of the Engineering Department when the Chief Engineer is unavailable.
• Understand and manage Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT and related systems.
• Follow preventative maintenance procedures for guestrooms, public spaces and building envelope.
• Maintain engineering records and support budgeting, PM programs and capital projects.
• Supervise and train engineering staff; ensure productivity and performance.
• Monitor engineering spaces for safety, cleanliness and energy efficiency.
• Identify issues during site tours and coordinate with other departments as needed.
• Leverage brand procedures and GSS/GSI processes to ensure compliance.
