Job summary

The DoubleTree by Hilton Little Rock, part of Waterford Hotel Group, seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team and oversee daily maintenance of the hotel's physical plant and systems.

You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and life-safety systems; drive preventative maintenance; mentor staff; and ensure guest comfort, safety, and property appearance in coordination with hotel leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a supervisory/leadership role in hotel facilities engineering.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations, life-safety systems, building codes, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the hotel's physical building structure and all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and life safety systems.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA standards.
• Assist with budgets, capital projects, energy initiatives, and vendor relationships.
• Lead, train, and develop engineering staff to promote accountability and continuous improvement.
• Schedule and supervise engineering staff for adequate coverage and efficient operations.
• Respond to maintenance issues to ensure guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Maintain maintenance records and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership on operational goals and property improvements.
