Job summary

Delray Beach Fairfield Inn is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. You will develop and monitor a maintenance program to guarantee safety, security, and comfort for guests and staff.

The role includes supervising engineering personnel, participating in hiring and training, and managing the department budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or vocational training a plus.
• Any building trade license/certificate from the state of hotel's operation preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers clearly.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the Engineering department, including operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, mechanical equipment.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor a preventive maintenance program to ensure safety and comfort of staff and guests.
• Supervise, train, and manage all Engineering staff; interview, hire, and discipline as needed.
