Job summary

Raines Co. is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance of all hotel facilities, directing routine preventive and emergency repairs to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.

The role leads the hourly Engineering staff, ensures life-safety inspections, manages energy use, and enforces brand standards while coordinating with departments and vendors to keep operations running smoothly. Qualifications

• Prior Chief Engineer and supervisory experience in hotel maintenance.
• Experience leading maintenance teams across hotel areas.
• Proficiency with basic hand-tools and power equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or similar applications.
• Current certifications as required by governing agents (HVAC, etc).

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise the hourly Engineering staff and coordinate scheduling.
• Review engineering staff hours for payroll and submit to accounting.
• Focus department on guest satisfaction and service quality.
• Manage life-safety inspections and energy conservation initiatives.
• Ensure Preventative Maintenance program is implemented and audited.
• Respond to guestroom and facility maintenance requests promptly.
• Coordinate with departments and vendors to uphold brand standards.
• Attend monthly meetings and conduct ongoing training as needed.
