Job Summary

Working as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Charles F. Knight Education and Conference Center in St Louis, you will be responsible for the overall management of food service operations in keeping with all corporate and brand standards. You will maximize profitability as well as guest and team member satisfaction. You will communicate with property owners and corporate offices, as required. You will ensure the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operates in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the client with the maximum value for the dollars spent
2. Delegates, manages and organizes projects and establishes priorities consistent with company objectives
3. Ensures that the food offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior quality
4. Implements and conducts safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs
5. Maintains excellent relationships with employees, guests and client as well as other departments within the operation
6. Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire foodservice team
7. Fosters strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the department with the facility plan of operations

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred
2. Have at least five years hotel food and beverage management experience
3. Keep abreast of industry trends, share information with all staff
4. Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills
5. Excellent overall computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
6. Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business
7. Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
8. Exceptional customer service abilities
