A leading healthcare consultancy seeks a Business Process Engineer II to enhance clinical workflows impacted by EHR systems. This remote position may involve up to 25% travel to military facilities. The Business Process Engineer II will directly support client delivery with a focus on demonstrating value and impact delivered. This position supports the analysis, documentation, and improvement of clinical workflows impacted by Electronic Health Record (EHR) deployments within the Joint Operational Medical Information System (JOMIS). The role focuses on optimizing workflows between medical waiver, profiling, and readiness processes, ensuring they are streamlined and integrated across clinical and operational systems. This role also involves collaborating with clinical and technical teams to identify inefficiencies, standardize processes, and align outcomes with organizational and readiness goals.

Work Location/Travel:Remote with up to 25% travel to Navy installations, military treatment facilities, or government offices; relocation not required
Salary Range:$100,000 - $125,000 annually (W2, based on education, experience, and geographic location)

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain process documentation for JOMIS workflows.
Analyze existing workflows and recommend improvements, particularly those impacted by EHR deployments.
Optimize workflows between medical waiver, profiling, and readiness processes to ensure alignment and efficiency across clinical and operational systems.
Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to support process optimization efforts.
Support process improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with project goals and readiness objectives.
Facilitate documentation best practices and promote knowledge transfer among project teams.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong understanding of process analysis and workflow optimization.
Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education/Certification Required:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Improvement, Healthcare Ops, Business, Health IT, or a related field.
Experience Required:
6 to 12 years of experience in process improvement
Direct experience improving workflows impacted by EHR deployment
Demonstrated experience with EHR systems or digital transformation in public sector health programs
Experience optimizing workflows for medical waivers, profiling, or readiness
Prior experience supporting DoD readiness initiatives or Navy Medicine preferred
Technical Skills Required:
Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools.
Familiarity with EHR systems and workflow integration.
Knowledge of healthcare readiness and profiling processes is a plus.
Desirable (Not Required) Skills/Experience:
Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement training
Experience with EHR workflow optimization.
Experience with PARATUS, JOMIS, MHS GENESIS, or OMDS
Prior service or experience working with operational military units
