Job summary

The Holiday Inn New Orleans Airport North, located at 1300 Veterans Blvd, is now hiring for a cook. The Cook is responsible for preparing all food items for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, following standardized recipes and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or experience in a hotel or a related field prepared.
• Ability to withstand temperature variations both hot and cold.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to work well in stressful, high‑pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets based on standardized recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen and work areas.
• Prepare food and station items prior to opening to ensure prompt service.
• Proficiency in cooking techniques: charbroiling, poaching, deep‑frying, sauté, braising, roasting and par‑cooking.
• Support any position in the Kitchen as needed.
