Job summary

Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown is seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee the hotel's systems, spaces, and people, ensuring safety, comfort, and consistency for guests during concerts, conventions, and business travel.

You'll lead a skilled engineering team, drive preventive maintenance, manage the department budget, oversee life-safety programs, capital projects, and vendor partnerships, all to protect the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hotel engineering, maintenance, and facilities teams.
• Proven ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong understanding of life-safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct all facility, maintenance, engineering, and grounds operations.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain life-safety standards, inspections, drills, and compliance.
• Lead repairs, renovations, and capital projects from bid to oversight.
• Manage maintenance agreements, service providers, inventory, and tools.
• Partner with hotel leadership to anticipate needs and protect guest experience.
