Job summary

Homewood Suites by Hilton Milwaukee Downtown is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance department and oversee safety, ensuring guest comfort through proactive upkeep of the hotel’s structure and systems.

You will manage a maintenance team, coordinate with other departments, and uphold brand standards while responding to emergencies and implementing preventative maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical and/or plumbing certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain the building, systems, and equipment through preventative maintenance.
• Ensure completion of grounds and custodial work as needed.
• Use tools and power equipment following safety guidelines.
• Perform repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and electrical work.
• Prioritize repairs to avoid guest disruption and coordinate with departments.
• Train and support the hotel’s engineering team.
