Job summary

Schahet Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer for our Hilton Garden Inn property to lead preventive and regular maintenance across the hotel, ensuring a clean, organized maintenance shop and safeguarding assets and tools.

The role focuses on maintaining facilities, ordering parts efficiently, and upholding green initiatives while supporting guest satisfaction and hotel security as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in general building maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good working order of all aspects of the hotel facility.
• Maintain and order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining 'green' initiatives.
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance thoroughly.
• Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction.
• May be responsible for hotel security to minimize risk of theft, crime and other hazards.
• Report and fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Carry out preventive maintenance program to ensure the facility is maintained and in service for our guests.
