Job summary

The Marina del Rey Hotel is seeking a Barista to join our team. The role involves serving guests courteously while preparing coffee, tea, and a variety of beverages, as well as food items.

You will act as a coffee expert, assist with serving alcoholic beverages after verifying IDs, and follow safety and health guidelines. Required is 1 year of related experience, familiarity with coffee equipment, and basic knowledge of food safety laws.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Experience with specialized coffee bar equipment and recipes.
• Prior experience as a server in a restaurant or hotel restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of basic federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service.
• Accurately and courteously take guest orders and make recommendations.
• Serve as coffee expert with knowledge of menu items and preparation methods.
• Process cash and card transactions according to house procedures.
• Stock beverages, food items and assist with kitchen and bar operations.
• Attend brand and training sessions as required.
• Ensure all safety and food handling guidelines are followed.
