Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality seeks a Barista-Server to greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages with enthusiasm and professionalism in a bar/restaurant setting.

The role requires menu knowledge, ability to answer questions, and friendly service in line with brand standards. The position is tipped and involves preparing beverages, assisting with cooking, and maintaining clean service areas.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience as a server or in a foodservice role.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Legal ability to serve alcohol in GA.
• Knowledge of state/local alcohol service guidelines.
• Knowledge of drink preparation.
• Basic math for guest payments.
• Coursework in restaurant/business is a plus.
• Food safety certification and/or alcohol service training recommended.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Energetic, guest-focused service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and ensure they feel valued.

What Makes a McKibbon Barista-Server?

The Barista-Server takes orders and serves food and beverage items to our customers in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner while embracing the McKibbon Guiding Principles.

A Day in the Life:

• Ensure each guest is greeted and made to feel important.
• Be knowledgeable about the menu, offering suggestions and being able to answer questions.
• You will service guests' orders as requested and as aligned with company and brand standards.
• Maintain adequate supplies of clean dishware.
• Carry food, dishes, trays, and/or silverware from the pantry to serving counters.
• Collect dirty dishes and tableware and run them through the dishwasher.
• You will clean counters, shelves, furniture, and/or equipment in the pantry or breakfast area.
• You will clean any spilled items, broken items, and remove trash, when necessary.
• You will mop or vacuum floors.
• Fill beverage and ice dispensers, and stock and/or refill the appropriate areas with condiments.
• You will make coffee and other beverages
• Assist with cooking and prepping food.
• This is a tipped position*

Requirements

• One to two years' experience as a server
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, weekends, and holidays
• The legal ability to serve alcohol in the State/Province
• Knowledge of state and local guidelines regarding service of alcohol
• Knowledge of drink preparation
• Computational skills to process guest payments
• Course work or certification/education in restaurant or business field are highly desired
• Food safety certification and/or alcohol service training recommended
• The ability to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
• Assist with creating an energized bar atmosphere through friendly and personalized service
• Ability to anticipate customer needs, and change course of action accordingly
