Job summary

Collegiate Hotel Group seeks an Assistant Director of Maintenance for Hotel Boulderado to lead maintenance operations and ensure brand-standard compliance. You will oversee preventative maintenance, manage repairs, and coordinate capital projects in a historic property environment.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on IT skills to support hotel technology and life-safety systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School education; post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of 3 years in Maintenance management position, preferably within hotels
• Two years of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• IT support experience helpful
• Valid Driver's License required
• Experience with Brand Hotels helpful
• Experience with navigating transitions from independent property to branded properties helpful
• Knowledge of historical buildings helpful

Responsibilities

• Ensure proactive preventative maintenance programs to brand standards including laundry equipment, HVAC units, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, plumbing
• Inspect guest rooms after maintenance and review problems with staff
• Maintain a current inventory of all supplies
• Manage work orders; prioritize and complete in a timely manner
• Maintain hotel grounds, curb appeal and exteriors
• Assist other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving concerns
• Coordinate and supervise contracted capital projects
• Educate staff on emergency procedures and safety precautions
• Hire, coach, and develop direct reports
• Conduct regular property walk-throughs and fix deficiencies promptly
• Be part of emergency organization team and life-safety expert
• IT-related support for hotel technology (HSIA, CCTV, key systems)
• Provide field support and vendor escalation to prevent disruptions
• Other duties as assigned

Collegiate Hotel Group ® is seeking an Assistant Director of Maintenance to join Hotel Boulderado and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures fulfillment of proactive preventative maintenance programs to brand standards including laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, plumbing
• Inspects guest rooms after preventative maintenance. Reviews any problems with maintenance staff.
• Maintains a current inventory of all supplies
• Maintains a work order assignment program for completed and pending work orders. Prioritizes and completes work orders in a timely manner . Monitors all deficiencies
• Maintains the hotel grounds, curb appeal and building exteriors
• Assists other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving guest concerns
• Assist in the coordination and supervision of all contracted capital projects
• Educates hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions
• Hires, coaches, and develops direct reports
• Participate in a consistent and regularly scheduled property walk through and report/ fix identified deficiencies within an appropriate time
• Function as a member of the emergency organization team and become an expert on life safety
• Be aware of fire, safety, and protection equipment/hazards
• IT experience helpful to include but not limited to c oordinate and support the implementation and troubleshooting of hotel technology (ex. HSIA, PBX, FTG/OTT/GRE TV platforms, CCTV, electronic key system, etc.) for existing hotels, new builds, and property transitions
• Provide intermediate-level field support and assist with vendor escalation where necessary to prevent disruptions and maintain a high level of confidence in hotel systems
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of 3 years in Maintenance management position, preferably within hotels
• Preferred but not necessary: Two (2) years of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• IT support experience helpful
