Goodwin Recruiting partnered hotel in Odessa, Texas seeks an Assistant Director of Engineering to lead maintenance across guest rooms, event spaces, and back-of-house areas. You will drive operational excellence, supervise engineering staff, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, preventive maintenance programs, budgeting adherence, and collaboration with other departments.

Qualificações

• Experience overseeing building maintenance and operations for hotels or large commercial properties.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including entering technical data and monitoring schedules.
• Knowledge of building codes and compliance standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and manage or assist with technical deadlines.
• Basic skills in electrical work, plumbing, and drywall repair.
• Hands-on experience with the use of common hand tools.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the maintenance and operation of all hotel systems and structures.
• Oversee repairs, renovations, and routine maintenance across guest rooms, event spaces, restaurants, and back-of-house areas.
• Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and coaching engineering staff.
• Ensure safety protocols and compliance with purchasing policies, budgets, and schedules.
• Maintain and improve preventive maintenance and energy management programs.
• Serve as a technical resource for other departments and provide equipment safety training.
• Report to leadership on condition and needs of hotel infrastructure.
• Represent the hotel professionally at community and industry events.
