The Sheraton Minneapolis West Hotel in Minnetonka is hiring an Accountant to manage hotel financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The role involves overseeing AR, AP, Night Audit, and Payroll, while supporting controls to protect assets and optimize profitability.

You will collaborate with department heads on budgeting and payroll processes, adapt to varying schedules, and contribute to a team that delivers exceptional guest experiences through financial discipline and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel accounting functions.
• Strong business communication skills verbal and written.
• Ability to complete complex financial calculations and analysis.
• May work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the property.
• Focus and maintain attention to multiple tasks in a short time period, and complete work assignments within deadline demands.

Responsabilités

• Ensure all financial areas (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Night Audit, and Payroll) are administered appropriately and effectively.
• Ensure proper controls are in place and monitored throughout the hotel to maximize profits or minimize losses by retaining revenues, reducing expenses and safeguarding hotel assets.
• Ensure that efficient and accurate budget preparation with the full involvement of department heads is obtained.
• Work with Controller to accurately complete payroll preparation, bi-weekly overtime report, bi-weekly tip allocation report and distribute bi-weekly payroll checks to department heads.
