Job summary

Phoenix Rise Uptown Hotel is seeking an experienced hotel accountant to manage accounts payable, deposits, cash handling, and payroll processes. You will review daily payroll, reconcile petty cash, and prepare tax-exempt guest data for the Controller, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.

The role requires at least two years in hotel accounting, strong numerical ability, and proficient use of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel accounting functions.
• Strong business communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to perform complex financial calculations and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices for timely payment.
• Balance deposits from outlets, including credit cards, EFT and checks.
• Count safe, supply cash for department banks and tills.
• Reconcile petty cash and approve payments.
• Payroll duties: daily reports, tips, gratuities, vacations, sick leave, retro payments; biweekly transmittal.
• Compile daily tax exempt guest information for Controller.
