Job summary

Rfd-Beaufort,-Inc. is seeking an assembler to operate hot tape machines and perform basic repairs on Pilot Flight and Submarine Escape garment components.

You will inspect seams for defects and address issues arising from machine malfunctions, then trim excess material and mend errors to ensure quality control. Ideal candidates demonstrate careful attention to detail, ability to follow packing and safety instructions, and good hand dexterity for fabric handling.

• Observe seams to detect defects and notify supervisor or maintenance when defects are caused by machine malfunction.
• Cut excess material or thread, using blade attached to machine or scissors.
• Repair defects or mistakes when identified

ABILITIES

• Lift a minimum of 25 lbs is required

• Follow packing instructions. For example: steaming, folding, picking correct packing materials according to specification.

• Understand units of measure in standard, metric, PSI and temperature.
• Comprehend information and ideas presented verbally or in writing.
• Communicate information and ideas verbally or in writing, to ensure the correct information is fully understood by an individual or team.
