Job summary

ManpowerGroup client in manufacturing is seeking a Shift Production Supervisor - Hot Mill to join their team in Beaumont, TX. You will lead a rolling mill crew, drive peak production, coordinate with maintenance, and ensure safety, quality, and cost objectives are met in a fast-paced steelmaking environment.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree, supervisory experience, and hands-on knowledge of heavy mill machinery, ASTM specifications for bar mill products, and breakdown diagnosis.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree; degree is a big plus.
• Experience with heavy mill machinery in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ASTM specs for bar mill products.
• Experience supervising a shift crew.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a shift workforce on rolling operations.
• Assign work based on sequence and skills using schedules and shift instructions.
• Coordinate with adjacent shifts on maintenance, repairs, and changeovers.
• Ensure availability of personnel, materials, tools, and equipment for shift production.
• Drive production efficiency while controlling costs as per schedules.
