The University of Kansas Health System – Liberty Hospital is seeking a Hot Food Cook to prepare patient and guest meals on variable shifts. Responsibilities include cooking per therapeutic diets, following standardized recipes, and maintaining HACCP principles.
This role requires attention to safety, quality, and timely service in a fast-paced food service environment. Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year of cooking experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a food handler permit

Liberty Hospital Position Summary / Career Interest: THIS IS A VARIABLE SHIFT POSITION; The scheduled times will vary within the same work week ; 5:00 am – 1:15pm, 7:00 am – 3:30pm, 11:00 am -7:30pm The Hot Food Cook is responsible for cooking a variety of menu items for patients, guests and Meals on Wheels participants following therapeutic diet orders, standardized recipes and food production schedules.
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
