Job summary

ATI is seeking a forging technician at our Irvine, CA location to support the forging process for jet engine components in the aerospace industry. Responsibilities include preparing metal stock for forging, placing hot stock on dies, extracting hot forgings, and completing quality documentation.

We will train entry level candidates. Hourly pay rate is $23.00–$28.00 per hour, with Fri-Sun 4pm–5am weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Preparing metal stock for forging, positioning hot metal stock on hot dies, and extracting hot forgings from dies.
• Completing quality assurance and part tracking documentation.
• Preparing thermocouple wiring.
• Operating a forklift following safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
