Job Duties

1. Assist in food preparation, including washing, cutting, and weighing ingredients.
2. Help manage stock, supplies, and ingredients in storage areas.
3. Monitor product expiration dates and stock newer products accordingly.
4. Maintain cleanliness of the food production area and equipment.
5. Follow food safety and OSHA safety practices.
6. Properly handle expired and recalled products, keeping logs as per company policy.
7. Set up and take down promotional displays and ensure accurate shelf labeling.
8. Keep refrigerators organized and stocked, with promotional items visible.
9. Maintain cleanliness in aisles and common areas to ensure safety.
10. Assist customers and answer questions to provide excellent service.
11. Follow cash handling procedures during checkout.
12. Perform other duties as needed for business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Preferred experience in kitchen, culinary, deli, restaurant, or customer service roles.
2. Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
3. Knowledge of ingredients, vegetables, and meats typically carried in the department.
4. Understanding of CAL-OSHA safety practices related to dishwashing chemicals (preferred).
5. Willingness to obtain or possession of a food handling card.
6. Availability to work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Physical Demands
