Summary Statement:The Hostperson is at the forefront of the restaurant operation and is the first and last person to interact with the guest. This role will also work closely and communicate frequently with front of house/ back of house management and staff to ensure seamless, successful guest service.Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to:Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon entering the venue.Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.Bid farewell to all guests upon departing and extend an invitation to return to visit soon.Oversee daily restaurant reservations and pre-seating assignment, when necessary.Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staffAnswer restaurant telephone courteously, quickly and efficiently.Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.Rotate to other Food Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.Use personal device/ cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review company documents, etc.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Includes but is not limited toWorking knowledge of general restaurant operations.Proficient in restaurant financial management.Working knowledge of restaurant management software system(s).Ability to effectively communicate in English.Polished appearance and demeanor.Excellent customer services skills.Ability to obtain maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team.Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.At least 18 years of age.Preferred:Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.Minimum Education and Experience:At least six months previous experience in a similar or related field.Preferred:Previous experience in a luxury setting.Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.Ability to obtain the following:Alcohol Awareness CardFood Handling CardPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
