Job summary

Resorts World Las Vegas LLC is seeking a Fitness Attendant to welcome guests, ensure safety and maintain a clean, well-organized fitness center. You will supervise the gym and cardio areas, assist guests with equipment, and provide stretching and recovery services to booked clients.

The role requires knowledge of fitness equipment, strong customer service, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

  • Experience in recreation, fitness and/or wellness facility preferred.
  • Knowledge of fitness equipment and amenities to assist guests.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and interact with them in a luxury setting.
  • Maintain clean and organized fitness areas and disinfect equipment.
  • Supervise fitness and cardio areas and ensure equipment is used properly.
  • Assist with opening/closing procedures of the fitness floor and cardio areas.
  • Provide personal training sessions and stretch/recovery services to booked guests.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in training as required.

Summary Statement:The Fitness Attendant is responsible for the general supervision of the fitness center. The attendant welcomes our guests and works to ensure that they have a safe and enjoyable experience. This position is also responsible for maintaining the weights and cardiovascular fitness areas to make sure equipment is clean, functioning properly and used according to the rules of the facility.Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to:Welcome and interact with guests as they call, enter and exit the facility.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of facility products, features and amenities.Assist guest with spotting and education on how to properly utilize equipment.Ensure the fitness area remains clean and organized.Disinfect and clean equipment.Actively supervise the fitness and cardio areas.Perform opening/closing procedures of the fitness floor and cardio areas.Complete end of shift reports efficiently and correctly.Attend and participate in support training and staff meetings.Provide personal training sessions to guests with booked appointments.Provide stretch and recovery services to guests with booked appointments.Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.Perform other job-related duties as requested.Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:Interact with all guests in a luxury setting, using elegant language and behaviorAbility to multi-task, to ensure guest service while also attending to the stocking and cleanliness of the fitness centerAbility to work an active shift, the majority of which is spent standing and walkingAttention to detail to ensure cleanliness and organization of the fitness center at all timesKnowledge of fitness equipment and amenities to assist with any guest questions or requestsAbility to effectively communicate in English.Polished appearance and demeanor.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to obtain maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.Preferred:Previous fitness center and/or spa experience.Certified personal trainer or a similar or related role.Knowledge of various fitness programs, from basic exercises to more challenging training sessions.Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.Minimum Education and Experience:At least 18 years of age.High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum six months experience in Recreation, Fitness and/or Wellness Facility or a similar or related field.Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
