Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in Solid Waste operations
• Move and position trailers, containers, and equipment
• Perform hostling duties and ensure safe/efficient positioning
• Operate waste collection vehicles and other assigned equipment
• Pick up, transport, and deliver solid waste as required
• Conduct pre/post trip inspections of vehicles/equipment
• Identify/report maintenance, safety concerns
• Secure loads per company/regulatory requirements
• Complete required logs and reports accurately
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, customers and team
• Follow DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Maintain vehicles and yards in clean, orderly condition
• Work safely in extreme cold, snow, wind, and changing conditions
• Perform other related duties to support Colville operations

What You Will Do

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in support of Solid Waste operations
• Move and position trailers, containers, and equipment throughout designated yards and work areas
• Perform hostling duties and ensure trailers and equipment are positioned safely and efficiently
• Operate waste collection vehicles and other assigned equipment
• Pick up, transport, and deliver solid waste and materials as required
• Conduct pre trip and post trip inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment
• Identify and report maintenance, mechanical, and safety concerns
• Secure loads and equipment in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
• Complete required logs, inspection reports, and other documentation accurately and on time
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, customers, and other team members
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition
• Work safely in extreme cold, snow, wind, reduced visibility, and changing road and site conditions
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support Colville operations

What We Are Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL
