The Ridley, Charlottesville, is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests and guide them to tables. As part of Thompson Hospitality, you will be the first impression of our dining experience, handling reservations, greeting guests, and answering questions about the menu and promotions.

Ideal candidates will be calm under pressure, possess excellent verbal communication, and be able to stand for extended periods while assisting front-of-house tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 6–8 hours.
• Lift and carry up to 20 lbs (menus, high chairs, booster seats).
• Reach, bend, and stoop occasionally.
• Clear verbal communication with guests in a busy environment.
• Remain calm and composed while multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and inviting welcome to all who visit The Ridley. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and ability to handle guest inquiries with professionalism will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
