Alterra's Mammoth Mountain is seeking a seasonal supervisor to lead a team and ensure exceptional guest service in a dynamic ski resort setting.

You will coach staff, manage performance, and uphold department goals while guiding guests and team members in a fast-paced environment. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Your passion for Mammoth Mountain ski area, combined with your knowledge of activity operations and leadership skills, will help create memorable experiences for our guests. Join us in inspiring and guiding both team members and guests in a fun and dynamic environment.
Motivates staff to the highest level of efficiency and productivity. Accountable for financial, employee, and guest service goals of the department.

Requirements:

Experience in supervising people
High School graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred.
Strong work ethic. Ability to effectively communicate to guests, employees and management.
Ability to perform under pressure and with deadlines and solve problems using common sense and department policy.
Must have computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
Responsible for coaching, measurement and recognition of employee performance – including seasonal performance reviews.
High level of emotional intelligence and strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role
Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a strong customer service orientation
Proven leadership experience in managing employees and fostering teamwork
Ability to effectively resolve guest concerns and maintain a positive atmosphere
Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills
Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, shoveling snow, and working in varying weather conditions, including direct sun and adverse weather
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a ski resort setting
