Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale seeks a Host/Hostess for our new fine dining signature restaurant on the iconic resort. You will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting them warmly and starting their dining experience on a positive note.

Reporting to the outlet General Manager, you will support high-volume service, seat guests, manage waitlists, and communicate effectively with team members to ensure exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor upon arrival.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Assist in seating Members and guests according to seating chart or guest preferences.
• Manage waitlist during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates.
• Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-house employees.
• Practice effective listening and understand guest needs.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Be responsible for cleanliness of the immediate work area and general property.

We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Host/Hostess - Sotogrande to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team! We seek friendly and outgoing individuals with Fine Dining experience to join our team as a Host. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and outside visitors, providing them a warm welcome and ensuring their dining experience starts on a positive note. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

This high volume requires a passion for personalized service and guest engagement. The new hot spot in Fort Lauderdale will offer luxury products and services in a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely handle menus, seating charts, guest materials, and other workplace supplies.
• Ability to maintain a professional and welcoming appearance throughout the shift.

Experience, Education, & Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED recommended
• Some College experience or Degree recommended
• Bilingual language preferred
• Previous hostess experience in a professional setting is preferred
