Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale invites applications for a Host/Hostess at Pelican Landing. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a warm welcome and ensuring guests start their experience positively.

This fast-paced environment requires a passion for exceptional customer service and a polished, guest-focused demeanor. Responsibilities include greeting guests, seating, waitlist management, reservations, and maintaining a clean hostess station.

We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Host/Hostess - Pelican Landing to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! We are seeking friendly and outgoing individuals with food and beverage experience to join our team as a Hostess / Host. As a Hostess / Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring their experience starts off on a positive note. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Reporting to the outlet Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, you will support and provide excellent service at our resort pools, locatedthroughout three levels of our iconic resort. This high-volume requires a passion for personalized service and guest engagement. The new hot spot inFort Lauderdale will offer luxury productsand service, in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
  • Adhere to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy.
  • Be courteous to all guests and coworkers.
  • Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at their respective outlet.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by Supervisors.

Experience, Education, & Licensure

  • High School Diploma or GED recommended.
  • Some College experience or Degree recommended.
  • Previous Host experience in a professional setting is preferred.
