Alterra is seeking a Sky House Busser/Host at Schweitzer in Sandpoint, Idaho. You’ll greet guests, seat them promptly, manage reservations and waitlists, and support the dining room team to ensure a smooth, friendly guest experience.

Typical shift is 10:00am–4:00pm with open availability on weekends and holidays. This seasonal role offers a friendly, inclusive culture, tips plus a wage of $13.00 per hour, employee housing, resort pass, and other benefits.

Position Summary :

The Sky House Busser/Host is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting and seating them in a friendly and efficient manner. They manage reservations, waitlists, and coordinate seating flow to ensure smooth restaurant operations and a positive guest experience. Additionally they support the dining room team by clearing and resetting tables, refilling water, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. They help ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for guests.

Typical shift is 10:00am-4:00pm and must have open availability during weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities :

• Assist cashiers by retrieving and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins.
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards.
• Remove used plates, glasses, utensils from table after customers are done eating.
• Clean up water spills, food stains and debris from tables.
• Take out trash and recycling.Refilling paper napkins, condiments, salt, and pepper shakers.
• Cleaning and bussing both The Nest & Red Hawk Café dining area throughout the shift.
• Help cashiers with side work.

Specific Job Skills :

License/Certifications- None

Technical- None

Physical Capabilities- Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level is preferred. Exposed to ice/snow coming to and from work.
Additional- Strong attention to detail. Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education/Related Experience :

Minimum education required- English reading, writing and communication; plus basic math.
