Role Overview

This position involves greeting guests, assisting with their needs, and ensuring a pleasant shopping or dining experience at the Taste of Smithfield.

Core Responsibilities

1. Greet and seat guests, present menus, and inform them of specials.
2. Maintain the dining area, managing clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
3. Communicate wait times and suggest browsing our retail shop.
4. Coordinate with servers regarding seated customers.
5. Clean, organize, and stock menus at the host area.
6. Answer phone inquiries about the menu and restaurant hours.
7. Handle reservation information and consult with management before booking.
8. Prepare to-go orders as needed.
9. Retail: Assist customers with product questions, promotions, samples, and special orders including shipping arrangements. Keep shelves stocked and organized, process returns, and participate in closing activities. Manage stock deliveries, check expiration dates, and conduct inventory.

Shared Duties

Ensure guest satisfaction by exceeding expectations, interacting positively, and thanking guests upon departure. Process sales transactions accurately in the POS system.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
