Responsibilities

• Make a memorable first and last impression.
• Greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner. Seat guests in dining and bar areas, ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff.
• Coordinate wait and seat guests with a sense of urgency.
• Always smile and have genuine conversations with guests.
• Have a general knowledge of the food and drink menu and recommend and upsell products.
• Answer the phone promptly and professionally and direct calls.
• Be a team player and assist throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and bar beverages, assisting with guests, and ensuring every opportunity to WOW a customer is completed. Teamwork is essential and required by all Outbackers.
• Lead the lobby experience for each guest, following Outback hospitality standards.
• Committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift.

Requirements

• Ability to lift or move up to 30 lbs.; work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods while performing essential job duties.
• For all California-based positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certifications Required (can be completed during training, and up to 60 days after start date).
