Job summary

Biloxi, Mississippi – MGM Resorts International is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests and support the food and beverage team in a high-energy dining environment.

You'll manage seating and reservations, keep menus current, and help create a smooth, guest-focused experience with professionalism and teamwork. This role offers starting pay of $14.51 per hour plus tips and opportunities for growth within MGM Resorts.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant.
• Answer phones, keep accurate reservations, and manage the reservation book.
• Ensure menus are up-to-date and replace worn menus.
• Check back with waiting guests and keep them informed that tables are being prepared.
• Convey special orders or requests to management from the Reservations team.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities, house count, table numbers, and dress code.

THE JOB:

As a Host you’ll create a warm and welcoming experience by greeting guests with professionalism and friendliness, keeping the dining area organized, and supporting the food & beverage team to ensure smooth service.

THE STARTING RATE:

$14.51 per hour (plus tips)

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant.

• Answer phones, keep accurate count of reservations and handle reservation book.

• Ensure menus have proper inserts and are current according to the most recent change, and replace all menus in poor condition.

• Frequently check back with guests who are waiting to be seated; make it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them.

• Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests - responsible for conveying all such information to management.

• Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant.
