Job summary

Crooked Hammock Brewery in Raleigh is seeking a Host/Retail Associate to greet guests, manage seating, assist with retail sales, and suggest popular offerings to enhance every visit.

You’ll be the friendly first face, setting a relaxed, welcoming tone for our backyard escape and ensuring guests feel at home from arrival to departure.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, energetic and fun personality with a love for hospitality.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling transactions or willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule to assume responsibilities as needed.

Summary of Position: As a Host/Retail Associate at Crooked Hammock Brewery, you’re the first face our guests see when they step into our backyard escape. Your job? Set the tone for a fun and laid-back experience, whether by greeting guests with a warm smile, managing seating flow, assisting with retail sales, or offering recommendations that make their visit unforgettable. If you love hospitality, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and get a kick out of making people feel at home, we’d love to have you on board! Must Enjoy the Ride! Our host/retail team members typically make between $18-25/hour on average given the base pay in addition to tip share. This position has awesome earning potential, paying $7.25/hr PLUS TIP SHARE!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests with genuine hospitality, eye contact, and a relaxed, upbeat energy.
• Manage the flow of guests, communicate seating availability, and keep the vibes smooth.
• Make sure every guest feels comfortable and taken care of from the moment they arrive until they leave.
• Relay guest needs, seating preferences, and special requests to the team.
• Keep guest areas clean, including resetting tables and keeping the flow of service seamless.
• Send guests off with a friendly farewell and an invitation to return.
• Assist guests with retail purchases—help them pick the perfect Crooked Hammock gear or a six-pack to-go!
• Keep retail areas stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
• Stay up to date on Crooked Hammock beers, brand events, and promotions.
• Promote our loyalty programs and special offers.
• Handle transactions with accuracy and keep the cash register flowing smoothly.
• Maintain a professional yet fun attitude that embodies the Crooked Hammock spirit.
• Keep an eye out for any security concerns and communicate with the team as needed.
• Work as part of an energetic team to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.
• Be a true brand ambassador—make decisions that reflect the heart and soul of Crooked Hammock Brewery!
