Job summary

Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes is seeking a guest services associate for poolside duties. You will warmly welcome guests, escort them to lounge chairs, and coordinate service with the assigned server to ensure a smooth experience.

The role requires maintaining pool deck cleanliness, adhering to company standards, and representing the Forbes standard in appearance and service. This is a hands-on, outdoor position requiring endurance and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, comprehend, and read English.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to implement and uphold service standards.
• Must be able to stand or walk outside for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Set Cabanas and lounge chairs according to service standards.
• Introduce the guests' server as they sit down.
• Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with umbrellas, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, pool deck, and host stand throughout the day.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Check the restroom and perimeter of the pool deck every 30 minutes to ensure cleanliness.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

In this position, you would be providing excellent customer service and assist in maintaining the appearance of the pool and surrounding areas. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently. Maintain the company image, vision statement, and Forbes standards.

• Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately

Experience, Education, & Licensure

• High School diploma preferred
• Must possess valid Food Handler's card

Compensation

Base Pay Start Rate: $19.19/ Hr.
