Job summary

High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, NY is seeking a Host Person to provide a warm, professional first impression and to support our restaurant team in delivering memorable guest experiences.

You will greet guests, assist with reservations and seating, coordinate with servers, and help maintain clean, welcoming dining areas. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of hosting or restaurant experience are required; Food Handlers certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year Host Person experience in a similar role, size of operation preferred.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness
• Extend a warm greeting to guests upon arrival and express gratitude for their patronage upon departure
• Continuously replenish beverages and condiments, paying special attention to coffee and tea, while regularly checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction
• Receive, record, and coordinate reservations and special events at the restaurant
• Aid with rolling silverware, replenishing condiments, and restock supplies as needed
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and optimal functionality of all restaurant and service workstations

Essential Job Functions:
