United Way of Greenville County is seeking a friendly server to help manage dining room flow, greet guests, escort them to tables, and present menus. You will coordinate seating with service stations and assist in maintaining accurate guest checks.
No prior foodservice experience is required, but strong communication and teamwork are valued; basic math skills are needed to handle payments and transactions.

Facilitates dining room operation, adjusting patron seating flow to balance customers among the various service stations. Graciously greets guests upon arrival, escorts them to their table, provides menus and informs guests of their assigned server’s name. Manages special seating requests consistent with table availability and other matters affecting sandwich makers, as appropriate. Responsible for accurately handling guest check payment and cash transactions as required.
Education:
Some high school. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the work location. Must be able to speak and understand the primary languages of the guests who typically visit the work location. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Experience:
No previous foodservice experience is needed, though it is helpful. Must possess good communication skills and be able to work with others. Must exhibit the ability to make decisions and solve problems rapidly and fairly. Must be sensitive to the needs of customers.
